Musk and Demagoguery

Musk a man who lies all the time and doesn’t actually know how to apply first principles, but constantly says he’s using base principles and going from there… there’s no logic to this:
Understanding the nature of the universe “might be the best path to safety, in the sense that an AI that cares about understanding the universe, it is unlikely to annihilate humans because we are an interesting part of the universe,” Mr. Musk said in the interview.
what makes humans interesting vs... the cosmos? what first principle backs up this BS virtue signally quote?
what if we train ai to treat humans just like any other biological lifeform, and ask ai to optimize for sustainability... maybe 1billion less humans and more green projects is what truth gpt does...

The Rise of the Demagogues
In the age of social media, it's easier than ever for demagogues to spread their message. With a few well-placed tweets or Facebook posts, they can reach millions of people and shape public opinion.
One of the most prominent demagogues of our time is Elon Musk. Musk is a billionaire entrepreneur who has built a cult following around his vision of the future. He's also a master of Twitter, where he regularly uses his platform to attack his critics and promote his own agenda.
Musk's demagoguery is dangerous because it appeals to people's fears and prejudices. He often uses inflammatory language and makes sweeping generalizations about entire groups of people. This kind of rhetoric can lead to division and violence.
In this blog post, I'll explore the dangers of demagoguery and why it's so important to resist it. I'll also discuss the specific ways in which Musk's rhetoric is harmful.
The Dangers of Demagoguery
Demagogues are leaders who appeal to people's emotions rather than their reason. They often use fear, anger, and resentment to manipulate their followers.
Demagoguery is dangerous because it can lead to violence. When people are whipped up into a frenzy, they're more likely to lash out at those they see as different or threatening.
Demagoguery can also lead to division. When people are divided into "us" and "them," it becomes harder to find common ground and solve problems.

Musk's Demagoguery
Musk is a master of demagoguery. He's able to tap into people's fears and prejudices with his inflammatory language and sweeping generalizations.
For example, Musk has repeatedly attacked journalists, calling them "the enemy of the people." He's also made disparaging remarks about women, immigrants, and people with disabilities.
Musk's rhetoric is harmful because it contributes to a climate of fear and division. It makes it harder for people to have constructive conversations about important issues.
How to Resist Demagoguery
The best way to resist demagoguery is to be informed and engaged. We need to be aware of the tactics that demagogues use and be willing to call them out when we see them.
We also need to be critical of the information we consume. We should be skeptical of claims that are made without evidence and be willing to seek out alternative viewpoints.
Finally, we need to be respectful of others, even if we disagree with them. We should avoid name-calling and personal attacks, and focus on the issues at hand.
By following these tips, we can help to create a more civil and inclusive society.
